The Limited is a high end fashion house that focuses on providing young business women with the chance to purchase stylish dress clothes, which allow them to bring their vibrant, youthful side to work, without sacrificing professionalism.
It is only in the recent years that The Limited has been able to make a splash in Britain, but a large part of its success may be the open reception to American boutique styles that have occurred since the Gap crossed over the Atlantic, followed by many more designer boutiques.
Like most American fashion boutiques, the emphasis this “fall” is on tight skinny jeans that are placed underneath losing fitting tops, and sweaters that are sealed in by a form fitting overcoat. Interestingly enough, the shirts are mostly closed necked, despite the emphasis on open necklines this autumn, so if you are looking for a more concealed neckline this winter The Limited may be your fashion store.
With turtleneck sweaters and off the shoulders dress shirts, the clothing line of The Limited is aimed at fitting in perfectly with the draped collar jackets also offered by the line.
One thing about The Limited is that colour is not so much an option, as the entire line is awash subtlety with greys, blacks, whites, and reds all represented pretty equally. Trousers are not skinny providing a nice alternative for those who do not want to squeeze into their work clothes, but instead are loose fitting down to the long boots.
All outerwear options are belted, but with an empire waistline emphasis. Also interesting to note, is the fact that peacoats that are waist length are the trend at The Limited, where as elsewhere the trend is at least mid thigh length, showing that comfortable basics are at the heart of the entire Limited collection.
